Choosing guinea fowl

The skin of the bird should be a lovely orangey-brown colour.
The body needs to be fleshy and a whole guinea fowl should weigh somewhere between 1.2 and 1.6 kg. As with any poultry, the overall look and presentation of the bird are also signs of excellent quality.

Guinea fowl are poultry reared with great care and attention according to production conditions that meet strict and well-controlled criteria.
Slaughtered at maturity (77 days), guinea fowl offer firm, tasty meat and remain a typical and authentic product.

To meet consumer demand more closely, there are different types of guinea fowl: Standard, Red Label, Certified, Organic, Capons and precooked cuts.
